The star of my Orange Hemp Chocolate Chip Muffins is the bright orange flavor, and the Hemp Seeds! Hemp Seeds are one of those ingredients that I could rave about all day. These little nuggets pack a substantial amount of essential minerals into their tiny little selves. And with 9 g of plant-based protein, Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, a moderate amount of dietary fiber, and essential vitamins, it’s hard not to get excited about creating a recipe around Hemp Seeds.
In Just 3 Tablespoons Hemp Seeds you will find:
Omega-3 Fatty Acids– about 3 g per 3 tbsp – Promote brain and Heart Health and reduce inflammation.
Manganese – 99% of your daily manganese needs – Manganese helps to maintain a healthy immune system, and it is necessary for the activation of enzymes in the body that are involved in a range of processes, such as metabolism and bone formation.
Copper – 50% of your daily recommended value of Copper. Copper is essential for optimal iron absorption, forming red blood cells.

Orange Hemp Chocolate Chip Muffins
Equipment
- 1 Muffin Tin
- 1 mixing bowl
- measuring cups
- measuring spoons
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Almond Flour
- 1 Cup All Purpose Flour
- 1 Cup Rolled Oats
- ¼ Cup Hemp Seeds
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- ¼ tsp Fine Sea Salt
- 2 Eggs whisked
- ½ Cup Vanilla Greek Yogurt
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- ¼ Cup Pure Maple Syrup
- ¼ Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 Zest of Oranges
- 1 Juice of 1-2 Oranges (¼ Cup Fresh Juice)
- 1 Mashed Banana
- ½ Cup Mini Chocolate Chips optional
Instructions
- Preheat Oven to 350℉. Prepare a muffin tin, lining it with muffins liners, and spraying liners with baking spray or olive oil spray.
- Whisk all the dry ingredients together in a separate mixing bowl.
- Combine the wet ingredients in a separate bowl – 2 whisked eggs, mashed banana, Greek yogurt, vanilla, olive oil, maple syrup, juice of oranges and zest of oranges.
- Slowly mix in the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until incorporated. Fold in optional chocolate chips at the end.
- Bake muffins in pre-heated oven for 20 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before moving to a cooling rack. Enjoy!
