10 Minute Creamy Blender Hummus
Deliciously creamy, and incredibly easy, this 10 Minute Blender Hummus will be your new favorite appetizer or snack. Simple ingredients and a blender. That’s it!
Thumbing through a local magazine this spring, I came across a hummus recipe that promised a fuss-free, speedy version of the dip, that was delicious yet practical, so I could move on and out of the kitchen quickly. I was hosting friends the next day, and was excited at the promise of preparing an appetizer in less than 10 minutes. Challenge accepted!
I tested the recipe, and with a few minor modifications created this 10 Minute Blender Hummus that my friends could not stop talking about. In fact, by the end of the evening, I was sharing my recipe!
Simple Ingredients
The ingredients are basic. 6 Ingredients. Garbanzo Beans, Tahini, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Garlic, Lemon, Salt and Water. That is it! Oh, and some water. You will need a blender or food processer for this. I currently don’t own a full-sized food processor. I do however own a mini processor I use to make sauces and dressings at times. It worked just fine for this 10 minute Blender Hummus recipe.
The Secret Ingredients
My secret to making this 10 Minute Blender Hummus creamy and light? I include the liquid from 1 can of the Garbanzo Beans/Chickpeas. The second can of beans is drained before adding half of the beans to the food processor. I also added 3 tbsp water to thin it out. How simple is that? Delicious yet practical. I really was moving on and out of my kitchen in no-time!
