Greek Burgers
These juicy Greek Burgers are flavored to perfection with Greek-inspired seasonings, feta cheese and almond flour. Paired with Pitas, a colorful Mediterranean Rainbow Salad and Tzatziki these ground beef patties make Burger Night unique!
The Greek-inspired seasonings in this burger create the most flavorful patty you could put between a bun (or in this case a pita). I prepare these ground beef patties with almond flour, feta and egg to create the juiciest burger and level-up the nutrition in this meal!
I finish my Greek Burgers with store-bought pita, my Easy Mediterranean Rainbow Salad and store-bought Tzatziki. This combination is a semi-homemade wonder! It is a meal that’s quick to the table, making it great for weeknights. It’s also low-stress for gatherings with friends and family. I have even prepared the patties ahead of time (up to 2 days)! Perfect for meal prep!
Health Benefits of Almond Flour
I use Almond Flour to replace wheat flour in a lot of my baking. Almond flour is made from ground almonds. Did you know that it can replace wheat flour in just about any recipe?! Good news! It is readily available in most grocery stores, or you can quickly make your own at home.
In this particular recipe I use it to help bind the ingredients in the burger, kind of like bread crumbs in meatballs. By using almond flour in place of wheat flour, I add nutritional value to my burgers.
Some benefits of Almond Flour:
Manganese – helps the body properly clot blood
Monounsaturated Fat – helps keep cholesterol under control, reducing the risk of heart disease
Low Glycemic Index Food – helps the body manage blood sugars more effectively (compared to wheat flour)
High in Fiber – almond flour contains prebiotic dietary fiber, which is digested by bacteria in your small intestine leading to a more efficient digestive system.
Make the Burger Patties
There is nothing fancy about making a burger. Toss all the ingredients in a bowl and, using clean hands, press the ingredients to mix well.
Form the Patties
Form the beef mixture in balls to create a consistent size patty. This will ensure even cooking.
Using the back of a measuring cup, or the palm of your hand, press each ball flat to make a patty, about 1″ thick.
Cook each Burger on an indoor grill pan about 3-4 minutes per side, or until the center reaches 160 degrees F. You can also cook on an outdoor grill. January in Chicago does not permit this on my end! My kids didn’t have school due to frigid temperatures when I made these burgers!
Serve in a pita with Easy Mediterranean Rainbow Salad and Tzatziki.
